Karson finished his frame and posted his blog detailing how he built this project. The irony of it all was; all I could concentrate on was my current situation. That was the fact that my father was in Intensive Care fighting for his life. My sister walked with me down the hall to the ICU unit in the hospital to see my father for the first time since his accident the day before. As best she could, she had tried to prepared me for what I was about to see. He had several broken bones and to make matters worse a face full of stitches and two black eyes. I had just...

Totally exhausted the previous evening and before I headed to bed I had taken some pictures and emailed a progress report to Karson, asking him to be kind in his criticism. It had been a long day. Finally I was able to get down to the actual building of the stained glass piece. The drawing had been completed and copies had been made of the cartoon so I could cut out the patterns which I would use to cut the glass. I also made a pattern which provides a guide for laying out the individual pieces of glass when cut and ground to size. The best way to describe this is to look at the pattern as the “template” or blueprint for the pieces of glass that will form the final piece. It is ...
