My Fuji Mini-Mite 4 Experience #2: Another Update and Bigger Plastic Jar Tutorial

03-28-2013 04:28 PM by NiteWalker | 4 comments »

So when I last posted, I was having trouble with getting the #3 and #4 needles to fit without quite a bit of adjustment to the packing nut on the gun. Since then I’ve tried the following: new #3 needle sets from amazon and fuji, a new #4 set and a new xpc spray gun from fuji. I’m sad to say that nothing worked and the issue persists. Realistically, it probably won’t be a real world issue as everything I spray works perfectly with the #3 needle. But I just feel there should b...

My Fuji Mini-Mite 4 Experience #1: Initial Impressions and Follow-Up

03-17-2013 05:10 PM by NiteWalker | 0 comments »

Since I’ve been documenting everything about my experience with the Fuji Mini-Mite 4 I decided to collect all the info in a blog series. So here we go! Backstory (skip past this if you just want to read my impressions of the fuji):For about a year I used a Qualspray QS-125WB from homestead finishing with my makita twin stack compressor. I also opted for the bigger 20 oz cup since it was to be my main spray setup. In that year I used the gun a lot, and it worked great, but the comp...

Three New Projects

02-23-2013 05:05 AM by MT_Stringer | 2 comments »

This pile of lumber may not look like much but it will magically turn in to two of my Fishy Coffee Tables and a Toy Box. :-) Turns out I need another 10 feet of white pine, so off to the store I go tomorrow. It makes it easy that a lot of the work for all three projects can be done ahead of time in a batch. Things like ripping the edges off the 2×4’s and ripping the 1×12 white pine into three pieces each. All of that was after I cut them into rough lengths so it would be ea...

Make a Folding Out Feed Table for your Table Saw

02-20-2013 05:22 PM by WoodJediNTraining | 16 comments »

This Week I show you how to make a folding out feed table for your table saw. This design was based after an article and plan found in a 2009 issue of Woodworker’s Journal Magazine. Originally the plan was designed for a Cabinet saw with a Biesemeyer Fence System, so I had to make some slight modifications for my Porter Cable Saw. In this 3 part video series I show you a step by step on building this project as well as talk about the modifications I had to make. The Article and plans ca...

Tip of the day! Use a push stick!

01-17-2013 02:59 PM by OregonBurls | 32 comments »

THE ART OF NOT TAKING A TRIP TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!Yesterday I awoke out of my daze of admiring a quilted maple block with a shocking sensation and blood everywhere. The dull blade on my bandsaw did not help and using my hands to push the beautiful block through didn’t help either. Simple word of advise which many of you can attest too. Keep your tools sharp and use a push stick! Lets say it all together now! Keep your tools sharp and use a push stick!Keep your tools sharp and ...

My new 1.5 inch flush trim router bit from Whiteside Router bits was purchased with a generous amount of glue covering it (to prevent rust, and from cutting yourself). How might I get this glue off?
