After a few weeks away due to travel and rainy weather, I was finally able to finish the table. The formula I was following was similar to what I used on an earlier folding step stool water based Transtint dye, sprayed shellac, and then as this was a table, Arm-R-Seal oil & urethane topcoat. You are the best!!! I asked yesterday if you would go and check out my newly designed website and over 200 of you answered the call. So with that I say a big thank you! I will be adding burls daily for the next week or so, so please keep checking back. Today I will be listing some beautiful fiddle back walnut lumber and a large quilted Maple billet. As soon as I figure out a coupon code I will extend 10% off of your whole order exclusive to LJs. Another way you can help is when yo...
When I was slabbing it you could definately smell the walnut but it was different from the Claro and English. These have great dark black lines that are marbled. Beautiful white sap wood and hart wood. These are pics of some of the slabs. Cutting Wood Is A Blast!!!
http://charlesneilwoodworking.com/project_store.php Note there are other free videos available at this link for other projects. This is worth checking out. Videos on build projects and pdf files with patterns for some.I also siigned up for his weekly paid program when it first started and have learned much and enjoyed having a woodworking show to watch each week with details, not just highlighting a project.
In this episode I go over the installation of the drawer slides. It is very important to remember that the width of you drawer box is the key to a successful slide installation.
Juniper Log Table with Stone Inlay Burled Cottonwood Top #3: Ready to sand the first stage of stone inlay
Here is how the table looks right now. Everything is bolted together, the branch pedestal, cottonwood base and cottonwood top have been bolted together.
