I have completed preliminary stages of machining a custom helical cutterhead for my DeWalt 733 Planer.The design is what I came up with from looking at other companies’ designs. IT’S DONE!!!!!!!! I am editing the final video of the machining process…. I have completed final stages of machining a custom helical cutterhead for my DeWalt 733 Planer.The design is what I came up with from looking at other companies’ designs. Degoose showed us how to make the jig that uses a bandsaw to make the spiral sections of his “Lazy Larry”. Well I made the jig, but my old small bandsaw just wasn’t up to the task.
