I’m already a bit into this project and I’ll be nibbling at it for several months. Here’s a recap of what’s happened so far:This is what it will ultimately look like. At first, I was enamored with #802, as done so well by Dale
I looked it up in Robert Lang’s book “Shop Drawings for Craftsman Furniture”. I found an article on building it in Woodworking Magazine, Summer 2009 edition. I felt like I had done my homework and thought I might slip this in between the dining table and the chairs. We already have decent chairs.

So next project in the pipe is a sideboard California/Maloof rounds for the divider bits, maple drawers, cherry for everything else, and kane-tsugi doors. These are the designs I’ve come up with so far. Which do you guys like best so far (and any ideas, cool sideboards you’ve seen much appreciated)

I thought it was high time I did a more detailed post. It’s not exactly blogesque, but at least it’s not clogging up the main projects with details. This goes with the cabinet I just posted on the projects page. Enjoy.

Selling Point
Besides our clawfoot tub, the only nice thing in the our house when we bought it was the dining room.
A picture from our walkthrough. Fir wainscoting with a plate rail. We later found out that the wall paper is a custom reproduction of a Morris and Co. paper from the turn of the century. We have visited William Morris’ birth home and country farm in England last year.
