I attended the Charlotte Woodcarvers show last weekend, and it was amazing! I was mesmerized the whole 3 days with the great people I met, the awesome carvings, and the sense of fellowship and camaraderie that was everywhere to be found. I took many pics, and whittled them down to these. I named the artist when possible, and wish that more people had labeled their work after the judging so I could have given them credit for work well done. I also entered 3 piec...

I was invited to display (sell) at an artists bazaar, held yesterday, Nov., 24. I have never done that before, in fact, it is really just the last year or two that I have sold my stuff. The bazaar seemed to have a feminine slant to it, lots of girly stuff! There were about 25 booths. I took every fancy little trinket box I could make. I also took a few games I had made for my folks last year. They were not impressed with Shut the Box, or Quarto. And I made up some cedar bird feeders ...

I know I am kind of late to get into the Craft Shows this year but first I need to decide if doing Craft Shows is the thing for me. Do I want to tie up my weekends with the shows. But first I guess a little background on me. I love woodworking. Seeing a finished project that someone likes and uses is enjoyable. As I am sure most do I hate sanding and I constantly work at trying to cut down on the sanding. I work full time in IT for a large company. I am leaving at the end of the year...

This is was my first craft show that I done. It was a small turn out because there was two more craft shows going on the same weekend. I wasn’t as organizined as I should be, some people were so professional with their displays. I had a variety of items to sell, cutting boards, bowls, keychains, containers, tops, candle holders and a few other items. Well, as far as money I paid all my expenses, gas, space rent and food. I sold 4 cutting/cheese boards, 2 bowls, one keychain and ...
