Shop Projects #1: Cyclonic Dust Collector

Well….. Having moved to the basement to take another shot at this wood working hobby (it’s currently 25 degrees outside!!!) I now need a way to clean up without destroying a shop-vac filter every day…. So I acquired a 58 gallon (Yes, I said 58 GALLON!!!) plastic barrel. I paid $25 and found it on Craigs List. Went over to Bill’s today to get the table saw. This did not go well, since the table saw did not run when we plugged it in. After a while of fiddling and checking things with other things, it has been determined that the switch and relay are bad, and it needs re-wiring. It has also been determined that a lot of the places on the frame of the saw, where you are supposed to be able to bolt things to other things, are also no good.
