I have been getting quite a few requests to do an updated shop tour and talk a little about my shop layout and organization and dust collection. You can watch the shop tour here at https://youtu.be/WCNtkvqByeI
I had a crazy/busy weekend (again!) I had hoped to have some time to paint, but it just wasn't in the cards for me yet. That doesn't mean that I didn't have a productive couple of days. It was quite the opposite. Many of you who have followed me regularly here on the blog may have noticed that I am not posting as much. It isn't because I am not working as much or doing as much creating, but it is more because the 'production' side of my business has really ...
I get asked quite often for a shop tour video and here it is! Sorry for the shaky camera. After all, I am a woodworker, not a camera man! As always, I welcome your questions and comments! This weekend got a bit ruined with the termite inspector coming in and confirming that, yes, we have termites. That event along with high temps and humidity kept me out of the shop for any woodworking. I was able to take some time in the late evening, and try my hand at making a video shop tour My shop is small, and so it didn’t take long. But pop on over to my blog and check it out!
It’s my first video to youtube, and it’s a shop tour. Check it out and tell me what you think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7L4JitZmaI Thanks
I finally made a shop tour video! Follow the link to my shop tour on my Youtube Channel: Shop Tour January 2016
I started my website and posted my first YouTube video about 7 years ago. Over that time I did what I could to maintain them and keep them fresh, but there are only so many hours in the day. Consequently,I maintained the site fairly well, but I didn’t do much on YouTube. Honestly, I didn’t get in the shop as much I wanted to either. I recently retired from my job of 31 years. Now I finally have more time, there is STILL never enough time, but I do have more time for some of...
Here is a short history tour of the evolution of my workshop. Its still by no means complete and if others are correct it will always be an evolving project. I started out using a small portion of a steel barn which was mainly used as a storage building to be both auto-shop, farm workshop, and woodshop. As you can see it was/is a clutter magnet. Over the past several years I’ve purchased several work benches and cabinets from Sears and Home Depot. This was for both stora...
Hey everyone, Been lurking here for sometime now. I’ve been inspired by Jay Bates, Steve Ramsey and several others on youtube to share some of my own work on Youtube. It was suggested to me to post here and see about maybe growing my subscriber base. I’m having a ton of fun making content. I’ve put up 4 videos in the last 2 weeks and have lots of projects coming. I’m not 100% happy with my camera and have plans on getting a DSLR in the coming weeks to improve that q...
I have been meaning to do a shop tour video for some time, but never quite got around to it. Then I met a young photographer named Michael DeVowe. Michael graciously came over to my house and filmed this for me. I have received “feedback” in the past about too many “um’s and ah’s” in my presentation. After Michael gave me the completed video I went back and did some post editing and cut out most of the um’s and ah’s. Let me know how you ...
