Hey everyone,I am in need of some help! I am writing a book called “The Burl Hunter”. I am looking for interested people who are willing to read as I write to help me out. I am not a great writer but I love to teach.
What I would like to do is get about 5 people to read and critique the book. Even edit my grammar. I would like 2 people who know about burls just to keep me in check and 3 to just read to learn and see how it flows. I need your input.

The first step was to cut pieces, and gluing the two frame (I did not have a camera in shop)I have a drawing of this pieceThis is the left side, right side is a mirror imageIt is now conducting the second phase, two frames with glue and spokes InstallationTomorrow I hope to see a well-dried frame, which become rounded trim.See you next time

I need a small band saw 9” would suffice and my wife’s family sent me a couple hundred dollars to buy onenow I have the delima of which one to choose.Cant afford a 14” saw and the Skil and Craftsman are my two choices locally.I’m only going to be cutting thin plywood and 1” thick boards with it.

I am starting a simple blog on how I made my candies for the box called “Eye Candy” This will work as a blanket answer to all the questions I have recieved on this. Right now, i am in the process of making a candle holder for my wife. I am using some scrap oak for the legs, and quite possibly some maple for the tops and sides. I have gotten the legs cut and sanded, but need to get the material for the tops and sides. I will post pictures as soon as I finish cutiing the rest of it out and get it assembled.
Sorry been so long……..... finished the project and gave it to my wife for her birthday……. she took it to work and I forgot to take pictu...

I am building this for a friend Over Seas. Her name is Ines so that is what this is named also. The ” Lazy Ines ”. It ought to be fun to finish. I do not have a thickness planer so it has been all Hand Planers. Also the edges are being rounded out by hand with a rasp. You really appreciate the work when you have limited tools!!!!

Empty clamp rack…... hmmm what could that mean, where did they go?
Here they are, adding the ” stacks ” to my rockers, and adding a little thickness to the bottom of the back braces
While i’m showing the rocker Jig, I might as well show the back brace jig, both are 8, 3/4’’ pieces of mdf, I think I went a little over killbut hey if i’m building chairs for the next 30 yrs it was worth it!
Arms glued next step is shaping top...

Had a great time today with Rustic Rick his wife Nancy, Billie J. and his wife Lou Ann, SteveMI, and Myself and my lovely wife Kris. I got a cheaper version of the Gripper from Woodline USA, at $16.00, and a router for my Dremel. Oh man they had some wood to die for, we just had no way to get it home. I’ll have to let the other guys tell you what they got cause I wasn’t paying to much attention. Needless to say I couldn’t find any Lathe tools to speak off. Or any thing else ...

Okay I started this chair Jan 28th 2010 I wanted to get finish put on after 30 days…... simple goal eh?
To my credit I got everything I could have done until I needed to use th 1/2’’ rabbit and 3/4 round over I did not have but ordered took 10 days to get here )-:
