I was invited to show at a fine woodworking exhibition at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana. The show is currently going on now and running 3 months until Jan 27th. There is a total of 25 woodworking artists showing and I am very honored to be counted among them. They are certainly a group of high-caliber artisans. There are also two other LumberJock members also showing at the exhibition – Andy Chidwick and Scott Morrison. It is pretty cool to think that 3 LumberJock ...
A brief look at my humble Montana workshop, from my morning “commute” to the inside of the shop, including the never-ending-project: The Workshop Expansion. I hope you enjoy this peek at where I enjoy spending so much time. The Shop>
Workin’ My Butt Off! Guys – I kid you not, I have a full plate and I am getting up early and working late everyday. But it is very exciting as there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes. The economy must be getting better because I am getting calls and jobs like I normally should. It actually started early this year too which was a mystery to me but a welcome one. I have added 9 more detail photos and information of my shop at my new site on the Shop page. So yo...
Well, it’s finally here, the first installment of my discussion with fellow LJ member, Scott Morrison ~ Finewoodworker (he looks much better in person than in his avatar.) I had a great time talking with Scott and I hope that you enjoy sitting in on our conversation. I must admit that I thought of many more questions after I left Scott’s shop. That may be enough excuse to get with Scott in the future for another session;) In the first installment Scott shares his background in ...

Hellofellow LJ’ers. A few years ago, Gerber Legendary Knives shot a TV commercial, and in a moment of pure lunacy, decided to include yours truly in the advertisement. The “tough guy” attitude shown in the video is pretty ironic, as anyone who knows me understands what a big baby I truly am. I once got a splinter and cried about it for 2 days (I can show you the scar, if you want). Enjoy the vid.
I have been anxious to get the cameras out and do some more video so I did an update from the American Craftsman Workshop. Thanks to the following guys for helping me get my own site started. It is a work in progress at the moment, but they really helped me figure a lot of things out sooner than later. Marc Spagnuolo – thewoodwhisperer.com Matt Vanderlist – mattsbasementworkshop.com Brian Havens – brianhavens.us Troy Bouffard – birchhillwoodcrafts.com ...
This is a small sample of my new woodworking project video, “Building a Maloof Inspired Sculpted Table.” Templates and video available for pre-order at finewoodworker.com. It is a totally new, and never before seen, type of video project (and pretty darn cool, if I do say so myself). Think Pixar meets woodworking. Completely 3D and presented with amazing details and animation that leave no room for error in your project. Everyone who has built one of my chairs (or any cha...
