Well, I love the SawStop Table Saw, Technology is just absolutely great.
So this is the story, and I am still able to type with all of my fingers, but one is a bit painful to do so.

Not sure how many people have been waiting for this machine or watching the news on it, but it’s finally here. SawStop is finally releasing its brand new 10” Professional Cabinet Saw to dealers and woodworkers around the nation. There’s a show on Discovery called “TimeWarp” which uses super high speed cameras to slow down all matter of phenomena to show what’s going on in the physical world at micro timescales. They had a call for entries after one episode and it got me to thinking that I’d love to see various woodworking things slowed down. Apparently they had the same idea last year, but I missed it. Warning … the following is just me thinking out loud (or, actually, in type), and the rambling nature of the post pretty accurately reflects that status of my brain on holiday!

Time to modify the workbench.
I built the bench a year ago. Currently it has a simple shelf for storage.
The plan is to build a simple cabinet with drawers to store hand tools, possibly my routers, and other “stuff” Here is a pic of the plan from Matthew Teague’s Setting up Shop (same place I got the bench plan).
The drawers are weird. The bottoms are glued and stapled up onto the box. The bottom then becomes the runners.

The new Sawstop PCS is fully assembled!
Everything I read on the internet about Sawstop’s great packaging was right-on; I was not disappointed! I unpacked the saw box and started reading the assembly instructions. On went the crank wheels, motor cover, extension wings, switch and tool holder. I of course cleaned the cast iron and then applied some T-9 Boeshield and wax.
