so just like every other woodworker at one point (what’s up with the other every other woodworkers is beyond me…) I was researching and learning about ways to sharpen my chisels, planes, and other blade tools in the shop.
Since I am the weekend warrior at this point, and I do not need to resharpen my tools THAT often, nor THAT much, I figure that I can do without any expensive powertools (there are several of those on the market) to sharpen blades and I dont really have the spa...

Ok, after collecting information from a couple key people, and looking carefully at my pieces, I’ve moved on to Sample #2.
First things first. NEW CLAMPS!!!!! Not the best, but all I could get for now.

Ah… finally some woodworking at last.
I don’t really have any time or the mind space lately to focus on construction and creation much, and it felt like I was just collecting tools as of late. All with the preparation of ‘one day’ to be able to get to things.
As it happens, I am able to dedicate a little time for some refinishing jobs as I don’t really need to think much for those, and it’s easier for me to get in the zone and just go at it.

OK, I’m actually already nearing completion of the 2nd piece which looks much better, but for this post, I’ll focus on my first-first experience with spraying, and the overall look, and results.
So. After giving the top coat (4th) extra time to dry (~4-6 hours while we were out). I came back and sanded it thoroughly with 600grit sandpaper. the results were mixed:

I bought a Powermatic 66 at an online auction web site. I paid $350 plus $135 processing. After rental of a truck I drove 158 miles to York PA to pick up the saw. Upon my arrival back, I set up the mobile base, slid the saw onto the lift and moved it into the shop. We pulled the motor, pulled the worm gears, blade, wheels and everything else. I sanded away all the old paint, and repainted it with the closest color I could find. It had a hammered look when dry. The magnetic switch was mounted ...
