Two weeks ago August 17th 2008, after three years new into wood working I graduated to my first injury! No matter how careful you are,using all safety tools, jigs, features that you can master up, an injury can occur. I know now from experience, so does my skil xshop table saw with the new ryobi 60 tooth blade, and my right hand middle finger——whats left of it! I’ve been meaning to blog this for awhile. I’ve gotten a few messages asking about my blade guard so I wanted to give the story.
As many of us know, the blade guards that come with standard table saws are awkward to use and often get taken off and never replaced.
