what started out as a passing storm turned into the revenge of the tree onto my house, it was about 9:30 pm and i was going to bed…i started to read and then i heard and felt what i thought was a train hitting the house…my house sits on an elevated foundation and it built fairly strong, the floor are 2×10’s they are nailed and also strapped to 6×6 beams…so the floor and the wall stood the impact. White Pine Log Cabin

On July 10, 2010 I began to build my log hunting cabin. It starts with harvesting blown down white pine. We had a horrendous wind storm two years ago that left millions of board feet of timber in ruins. We put some it to good use. Go to my website and navigate to “Work-In-Progress”. Oak Door in a stone wall

The brief was simple. A green oak door and frame to fit in a stone wall.The size is another thing, 4’ x 7’ Ok it is a bit big for the shop, at least it aint raining. Some of the raw materials Layout is not going to be easy. See how it all goes, only needs to be fitted by the 26th but they want it by the 16th and I’ve a CT scan in between.I’ll keep posted.
