I took most of the day of today and traveled to Hutchinson, KS to see the exhibits and check on my entries. This was the first time I have had anything entered in the Fair since my old 4-H days, which ended many years ago.

When my nephew was asked if he wanted to sit on the horse, he promptly sat down on the deck below the horse. He was reluctant to be all the way up high on it. Eventually, my sweety coaxed him up on the back. It’ll be too big for him for a few years, though.
So we had a good drive up the coast, a good drive back down, some cool adventures along the way, got home, and then life got interesting.

Well, as some of you know, I have been working on a rocking horse for my grandson’s first birthday. I finally finished it, I will post a picture of it in my projects. I must say, it was quite the challenge. I had a very frustrating day trying to router the pieces to a template, I finally gave up and just cut them on the band saw and sanded them to size.
