I realized that I needed decent way to hang on to the correct angle on the worksharp. I began looking for a tool holder to use with it but alas, there were none available and Lee Valley’s holder would not work with this sharpener.
Here’s what I came up with:
I bought an extra ($10.00) hand held jig rather than make one as time is not my best friend.
Next I stripped the roller assembly off the holder.

I got this tool last year as a freebie when I made an order from Rockler, and I just tossed it in my router table and promptly forgot about it.
But now that I needed to do some precision router table work, I finally got a chance to use it, and so I’ll give a bit of a review. Though I’m sure there are other examples of the same concept, this one can be gotten from Rockler for $5.99.

So I finally made an excuse to buy a new tool – a bandsaw to be precise. The problem is that I can not foresee a need for a heavy-duty model, nor can I justify its expense at this time. For that money, I could simply ask my wood supplier to resaw it for me for a few bucks.

Boxes and boxmaking have always been popular subjects for many hobby woodworkers. What other project type offers such variety in technique, finish, and final application? A box project can often be completed in a weekend, and noone can ever say they have too many boxes!

Well I did it again, I ordered from Grizzly and got what I should have expected.
I’ve been wanting a tenoning jig, I read some reviews, Grizzly is rated a good value, generally as functional as any other brands. I looked at the pictures of the grizzly and others and decided the grizzly looked just as good and was substantially less money. I’ll be reviewing the tenoning jig in another thread but for now here’s a short intro to other stuff I found in the box.

I have been looking for a sharpener for a while and came close to coughing up $250 for the Jet clone of the Tormak when the woodworking show was in town last month. I had also seen the Work Sharp on the web. Dan Like had seen one in action and given it his endorsement. There is a video of it on thier web site if your interested in seeing it in action. Ever since I seen the review on the Triton Routers, I just had to get one. What’s a better time than on your birthday. Barb & I have an agreement about birthday gifts. We usually choose something we desire. That’s all the surprise we need. It arrived here two days before, so I’ve been holding back on reporting this to you Lumberjocks.
