It all sounded pretty normal. The first attempt was met with a lot of knocking. Perhaps I had it too low. Hitting stop, raising it, and trying again worked fine, though there were a few slightly raised lines, about 1/4+ wide. I must have chipped the blades slightly. No matter – I can flip them around to the new edges, and I have another pack waiting if I need them. It does look like there’s a slight difference between left and right sides, but I’m talking something like 1...

I just wanted to share a site that I found that may be interesting to some here on LumberJocks. The site is by a man named Shane Whitlock. http://www.shanewhitlock.com/index.htm This guy is IMHO a machine restoration genius. Hey folks, We did lot of progress on the latest restoration project for the second Baiiley No 6 that I got from Ebay, and I can almost call this a complete project, but I still need to find out how to resolve the issue with the broken horn on the tote, and if anybody else can help me with this question I post earlier, the blade is very very sharp but is not square (there may be a 1/16 gap on one of the corners) so if anyone else know how to resolve the issue I have on that post that will b...
