Whew Doggie! It’s hot out there. You may have been through the same thing as me. Glue – clamp – look at the clock – look at the clock – look at the clock…. Either that or you’re gettin’ funky with the pin nailer. Today and Yesterday it was easy to allow for glue dry time. I work out of the garage and the temperature has been a over 100 for a while. Recently I purchased a Steam Bending Kit from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware so I could try out some Steam Bending. 2 Board Modular Bookshelf - Woodworking Basics

This modular bookshelf is a great project for beginning woodworkers and you veteran woodworkers as well. Requiring only 2 boards to build and a limited amount of tools, this project can be made in a day or a weekend. the design can be modified by building more cubes or changing the orientation of the unit itself. Add some color and it makes a great display and shelving unit for a kids room. Give it a try.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share a couple of shop Jigs with you. One is a quick and simple jig for quartering your sheets of sandpaper to use in your palm sanders or sanding blocks. The second jig is a multi function tapering Jig that lets you do 4 sided tapers as well as straight edging rough sawn boards and cutting angles also.. Building a Murphy Bed

This week’s Project is a horizontal Murphy Bed. The bed I built is a twin size bed using the Create-A-Bed Hardware kit from Rockler Woodworking and Supply. The finished look of the bed can be trimmed and finished to match your homes decor, really the limit on the final look is only limited by your imagination. These videos just tell you about the use of the hardware kit and the general construction of the project. I hope you enjoy it.
