04-13-2014 06:07 AM by Mark Kornell | 10 comments »

02-18-2014 04:16 PM by Cindy Braunheim | 3 comments »

It’s now February and the project was installed and completed in November of 2013. I have since recovered and have five new projects lined up, one being my own Master Bedroom Closet, which has been waiting for three years now… But I digress. The Built in Library Wall is by far the most involved piece I’ve ever built. What a blast!

Gramercy tools bow saw kit / new tool, christmas present

02-13-2014 07:19 PM by Lazy_K | 4 comments »

Hi! the first project I’d like to share with all yall this year is this bow saw I made. I was given a bow saw kit from Gramercy tools. Knobs, brass blade holders, 3 – 12 ” saw blades. They have the plans for free on their website…. however, like many of us, I can’t just go with someone else’s standard or ordinary set up. So I did a google search for bowsaw, and selected “IMAGES FOR *” and got thousands (well maybe only a hundred or so) of...

a woodworker's story

01-19-2014 12:01 PM by rusticderek | 3 comments »

Today at the age of 32, I am a well-established furniture maker, small business owner, and woodworking instructor. At the age of 7 my Father John Skapars introduced me to the fine art of woodworking. I can remember helping him install our homes living room floor in the suburban Boston, Massachusetts town of Dover. An interest was sparked, and a true passion was discovered. Being an excellent student, knowing what I want, and not being afraid of failure all contribute to my current suc...

I have over the past few weeks been able to start taking some overstock merchandise, merchandise that the customer either forgot about or didn’ t have the funds to pay after the customer used the companies sharpening service.
