Spirals #6: We are not finished yet.

1864 days ago by degoose | 18 comments »

Next step is to make the ends of the segments curved. Shell-like if you want. For that we need a new jig.. Yeah I know some of you haven’t finished the first one..!This is ultra simple.Firstly a fresh piece of ply .. 1/4 ” is fine.I inserted a bearing to make this more durable .. same same as last one. This was positioned 4.5 ” from the end[centred on the width] and an arc cut on the end via the circle cutting jig.. same same.Cut two fences same as the one of the first jig &#...

1326 days ago by BritBoxmaker | 16 comments »

Hello all. A little while back someone came up with a box that was 2 cubic inches in size. I looked up my old ‘Little Bess Ring box’ posting and found that to be approaching 3 cubic inches. Now there’s a challenge I thought. So was born the idea for Atom, a 1 cubic inch box. Here is the paper model--Its full size at 24mm on a side (just under 1”). It will have 2mm (5/64”) thick walls. The lid will be drop on. Now there is a tiny box. Here is a pic of my pro...

Make a Folding Out Feed Table for your Table Saw

506 days ago by WoodJediNTraining | 16 comments »

This Week I show you how to make a folding out feed table for your table saw. This design was based after an article and plan found in a 2009 issue of Woodworker’s Journal Magazine. Originally the plan was designed for a Cabinet saw with a Biesemeyer Fence System, so I had to make some slight modifications for my Porter Cable Saw. In this 3 part video series I show you a step by step on building this project as well as talk about the modifications I had to make. The Article and plans ca...

You ain’t ever gonna keep me down. Lyric spotters please feel free to comment. I left you, last night, as I was hacking at the pattern board with a chisel. No, I’m not mad. I’ve done all the tests. It worked. I repaired the pattern. I re-placed the mask and all looks good. Re-taped the pattern I scored a knife line into the pattern, along the outside edge of the outer tape. In combination with a strip of Polycarbonate, which has a line scored on...
