I recently went digging through my late Grandfather’s garage and found a practically new Craftsman 1 1/2hp router with the box, but no instructions. I decided to buy a small router table at a local box store knowing it wasn’t anything great but just something to try my hand at for the time being. I finally got around to using it today. I’m finally finishing the cabinet doors I’ve been putting off for months, and decided to route the dadoes using the table. For some rea...
Hello everyone…... its that time to wipe the thick layer of dust from my shelves, drawers and tools. i do this at least once a month. during that time i blow all the dust out of the shop with my leaf blower. i take all of my important tools apart and replace brushes, belts, bits and blades. i oil, grease and lubricate all moving parts and bearings. the tool that i pay most attention to in the shop is my 10” cabinet saw. i am constantly checking to see if the blade is square to the...
Hello everyone, i’m really hoping someone can shed some light on this problem for me. I have an older craftsman Jointer/Planer that is in great working condition, however it has one major problem. To me the table look very parallel weather the depth is set to 1/8” or zero. Now time to put a board...
I have a Laguna NLX31 combination machine with table saw, jointer/planer, and shaper. The table saw motor works great but the jointer and shaper motors are running slowly maybe something like half speed. I have had the motor and capacitors checked, the 40uF and a 50uF capacitors were within uF tolerance, but I have since replaced with with new. That did not fix the problem. The table saw starts even faster now, but the same problem exists with the other two motors. I unhooked the belts...
I am trying out a new video feed. The service I was using before and have been using for years just kept adding ads and then got to the point to where they’d put a commercial on the videos and the feed at start-up. Most of the commercials I didn’t like. I felt they were inappropriate. One car company ad kept using foul language, even though it was being bleeped It was still known what was there. I even tried to trick the system into using more kid friendly ads by putting ta...
