In my last Drill Press Blog I had found that the taper runout was plus or minus zero, but drills in the chuck wobbled plus or minus 4 thoundths. If I drilled small holes in a piece of wood and held the piece with my fingers the piece vibrated and the hole was less than true. When I make small things, this is an issue. I just finished reading Tom Lovino’s article in Wood Magazine and I have to say it really hit home. I even gave the article to my girlfriend to read and when she was done she said “that sounds just like you!”.
