I just completed the cherry display shelves being built for some close friends in Central Oregon. This shelf will be used to display works of art in thier gallery. The display shelf is built from steamed cherry and cherry plywood with pocket screw construction. Dimensions are 18 inches square and 5 feet tall. The finish is 4 coats of hand rubbed tung oil and 2 coats of wax.

I thought I would share the progess of a couple of cherry display shelves being built for some close friends in Central Oregon. This will be used to display works of art in thier gallery. I am using steamed cherry and pocket screw construction. This a follow up from a previous post on using the Kreg Pocket Hole Jig system. I am taking a break from work and the shop spending Mothers Day weekend in Sisters, Oregon. Final sanding and finish await me at home.

Well, things have been busy at home and at work. I finally got back in the shop today to work on a cherry display shelf for some close friends in Central Oregon. I am using my Kreg Pocket Screw Jig for the joinery. I thought it would be fun to share my day with a small video. Hope you can bear with me as I show you this remarkable jig. I also have a Kreg Foreman, a semi-automatic production machine, but thought the small portable jig would be best for this project.
