I ordered a 0.3 micron replacement filter from Wynn Environmental to replace my Jet DC1100 30 micron bag. Originally I was going to make a simple review for people to benefit from my experience with the new filter I got… but since it had gotten a bit more complicated, I figured this is blog-worthy, and the ‘regular’ review will follow once I experience more the performance of the filter. Disclaimer: I have had nothing but great experience from Wynn Environmental, from ...
Okay i’ve been asked to show how my shop vac dust deputy system works so here it is. I have the smaller ridgid shop vac from home depot under my ras inside the cabinet stuffed with insulation enough to dampen the noise but still let the motor cool and exhaust as it should. So fan no problems (-: The hose then goes to the dust deputy on the outside rear to the 5 gallon bucket it comes with, out of the top of the cyclone up towards the saws. I have it hooked into the home depot clea...
I work for a company that creates (extrudes) plastic lumber and builds outdoor furniture from it. It’s almost indestructible, cuts well, and will just plain outlive most wood in really bad environments. I redid a laund...
I’m becoming increasingly aware that so few people know where their everyday things come from. I was talking a lady the otherday and realised she didn’t know that plastic’s derive from oil. It just wasn’t something she had ever thought about. When people talk about what will happen when oil runs out, they talk about petrol mostly. But they don’t seem to think about plastic. the components in their car, the circuit boards in their computer, the silicone chip that ...
