Hello fellow woodworkers,
I have enjoyed looking at all of the excellent projects displayed on LJ. They inspire designs and urge me to make that next piece even even more challenging. All these project are shown to the world via pictures. A picture is your way of expressing the time and effort you have spent on a piece. This is so exciting – New era at LumberJocks.com begins right now – the era of video tutorials. I just finished our first video tutorial screencast titled ”How to submit entry into the Bookcase Design Challenge”. It outlines all of the steps in posting the blog entry, embedding the pictures as well as the final project file and then submitting it properly to the Challenge.
Any feedback is much appreciated since I want to replace our wordy help section with this kind...

In this blog I thought you lumberjocks would be interested in seeing the whole process that I go thru when doing this picture frame commission.
This is the picture that the owner wanted a carved frame for. As you can see by the photo the picture is out of the frame and I was able to take the frame with me so I could make the new frame the proper size for the picture. The new frame will be 3’-6” +- X 6’-6” +- so this is as large a frame I will have did to date.

As Bill noticed I have upgraded our picture viewer. Problem with the prev and next buttons was that they were not always on the same place and you had to hover the image to see them. To enhance the usability I’ve moved these two buttons together with the close button to the new separate toolbar at the top of the page.
