VACUUM PRESS BAG STORAGE CONTAINERI recently was inspired to start veneering using the vacuum press by Neil Lamens at Furnitology Productions. This is the first in a series of screencasts and video clips demonstrating how to capture and upload digital content to Lumberjocks. The ultimate goal is to add to your skill set and your ability to enhance your LJ Projects, Blog entries and Forum topics. The first episode focuses on uploading photos to photo hosting site, in this case Photobucket, and subsequently posting the photos to a LJ forum entry. This blog entry shows how I install the small (1 inch diameter x 3mm thick) brass Makers-Marks on my projects. I like the traditional feel that the labels give a project. I prefer painting the recess black so that when the label is installed there is a small subtle black reveal line around the outside edge. This is strictly personal preference.
