Started cutting out the parts to the 9 additional single beds only and WOW that is a lot of cutting. I figured 522 pieces (58 each). The drawer have the most at 423 (47 each). I didn’t just cut and rip them, some had to be edge banded and then comes the sanded.
I got 2 days to work. I will be going to Church camp for a week. I’d like to have the headboards built and the drawer units ready to assemble before I leave. The week I’m gone, hopefully my crew can get the d...

I will be writing this in sort of walkthrough form; so I will include my resources as they come. I am getting parts from Numrich Arms and the direct page for this gun is here. They have a passable exploded diagram on that page but the one I use comes out of the Gun Digest diagrams book. Same diagram for the most part, though. I have basic tools for the project but when working with firearms, fine or otherwise, I would recommend a good set of gunsmith screwdrivers and punches. These and a...

I just wanted to let everyone know, in case they don’t already. At our Used Tool Store we sometimes need to make repairs on tools in order to resell them. When we need parts we go to Tool Parts Direct (toolpartsdirect.com)

Templates and Jigs
Whenever we do a project that has the potential to be built again, or if the design is somewhat difficult, we’ll spend the time to build a jig. This is a process that pays back big dividends, and has been practiced for hundreds of years.
In the first instance, it makes sense to speed up the process of duplicating it. This prevents you from having to record all the dimensions and engineering that went into the piece. A very big time saver.
