Kid Friendly Project- A Garden Tote

383 days ago by A Slice of Wood Workshop | 2 comments »

This project is a great way to get the kids involved. They can do most of the machining, definitely the sanding, and then they can get creative with the painting. This is made with 2 used fence pickets/panels that are 5’ long. They sell new ones for $1.50 at the big box stores. This take only a couple hours to make (including paint drying time). Please like, share, and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

Ammo Box

683 days ago by Brett | 6 comments »

Hi folks! One of my boys is really into military type stuff (read anything camoflauge and survival/self sufficiency oriented). He is a 9 year old boy, what can I say? ;) Anyway, he has a birthday coming up and he has requested many such items as described above. What I wanted to do was make him a small chest to be able to store his “boy” items in. I decided to make this box for him and we will wrap his presents and place them inside the “ammo box”. He will re...

Home improvement and Repair #2: Built in Home Library and Entertainment Center

684 days ago by C_Philhower | 1 comment »

This is a recap of a project I did almost 2 years ago, but wanted to post it online and just got around to it now. My Wife and I have a room in our basement that was partially finished by the previous owners of our home. For the first year and a half that we owned the house the room had a dartboard, an XBox and TV, a futon and about a dozen boxes of books. The walls were already sheet rocked and painted, carpet was installed and there was even an attempt at a tray ceiling with a small ceil...

Victorian Skater Pond Scene #5: "Edouard" and "Dora"

1442 days ago by Sheila Landry (scrollgirl) | 5 comments »

Well, it looks as if I was right! Pierre seems to have gotten a little too reckless and knocked poor Edouard over! What a nuisance! From SLDP103 Skating Pond Figures But thank goodness Dora is there to help him get back on his feet. You know what they say . . . behind every great man is a woman! (Well, at least the women say that!) From SLDP103 Skating Pond Figures

Victorian Skater Pond Scene #4: "Pierre"

1456 days ago by Sheila Landry (scrollgirl) | 1 comment »

Time to add a boy skater into the mix, I figured. This is Pierre. Although Pierre is not a child, he still looks like he may have a little bit of mischief left in him. I can see him zipping around the ice, weaving through the couples holding hands and wobbly children at an amazing speed. Better be careful, Pierre! You don’t want to knock anyone over! From SLDP103 Skating Pond Figures I hope you all enjoy him! :)

Your Not So Ordinary Platform #1: The Plan

1769 days ago by Chris Davis | 1 comment »

I will be making two platform beds for a single client. One will have a very large headboard and the other will not. Both will have a set of cabinets lining the side. This is what’s not so ordinary for platform bed. These cabinets will set on top of the platform. So for a full size bed I’ll be making this one about 75”wide. This platform will have a ledge around the mattress extending about 2 ½”. It will also e a 4 post design with all inner edges curved inward a little. The fini...
