I just wanted to share a site that I found that may be interesting to some here on LumberJocks. The site is by a man named Shane Whitlock. http://www.shanewhitlock.com/index.htm This guy is IMHO a machine restoration genius. He also does some very nice photography as you will see on his web site. This topic is not only interesting to me but its good to see someone take an old machine and give it new life. Old Power Tools #1: Antique Sears Craftsman Jointer

I have a few very old tools, This one was not in the view of my workshop photo’s. I’m somewhat proud that I acquired it at a garage sale for about $25 ten years ago and it is still working. I made the stand,that has a chip collection basket in the center door. I did purchase it without any motor. I’m guessing that it was made in the early 1960’s. The nameplate does say Sears Roebuck and Co. Simpson-Sears LTD.
