Welcome to another installment of the chess corner. Today’s topic is turning queens on the lathe.A queen’s base diameter is usually around 1 3/4” and the height around 3 3/4”. I use a caliper to measure while turning and turn everything gradually usually in three parts. Progress Update on the Custom Steak Knife Commission Project

Hey folks, the Wife is in town getting a piece of glass for the top of my knife display box, and so I snuck in from the shop to post an update on the progress for my custom steak knife project. This is the first set of 18 knives. I haven’t started the second set of 12 knives, so it will be a another long couple of weeks to get them finished.
