Checkerboard Project #6: Back On Track

01-25-2013 06:49 AM by Retsof | 4 comments »

I gave up on finishing this checkerboard project in time for Christmas, and then I was out of commission with a bad chest cold for another three weeks. Once I was back to 100%, I got to work finishing my White Oak Bookcase project. Now it’s time I got this one back on track. The last thing I had done on this project was to glue up all the squares for the top. I did half of the board at a time and then used my biscuit joiner to join the two sections together. I put in some time ...

Building My Work Shop #18: At Last a Woodworking Shop to be Proud Of! (Long Version)

03-08-2011 10:18 AM by Crushgroovin | 10 comments »

02-07-2011 06:45 AM by JerryBerry | 11 comments »

Well, went out and collected 7 pallets for my next project. As you all know, I like to re-purpose wood to do my projects. This one should be interesting as it’s a Dry Sink and will be done entirely with old wood pallets. I’ll try to keep everyone up to date with what I’m doing here. http://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m506/gdberry01/th_100_5487.jpghttp://i1129.photobucket.com/albums/m506/gdberry01/th_100_5488.jpg There are the links to the pics!

"Crazy Generous" Gifts for the Workshop

05-23-2011 02:28 AM by robbinscabin | 4 comments »

Have you ever walked away from your Workshop after a project without doing the proper cleanup? Here’s why that’s a really bad idea! We had spent so much time building the log bed that we just didn’t bother to clean up. And after nearly a week of avoiding the basement entirely I was starting to feel pretty guilty…one day I even took my project out to the front yard to “work in the sunshine.” In reality I was avoiding the mess! But I wasn’t the o...
