I miss my shop in the winter. #2: SPRING!

483 days ago by gforcegarcia | 14 comments »

Well, I finally got out in the shop for the first time in 2013! I covered my tools with tarps to slow the winter rust. It wasn’t too bad. A little surface rust on the tables. Nothing some WD-40, T-9, and paste wax couldn’t handle. I also decided to remove the Rockler router table from my table saw. I could never get the height right. Cutting Metal in the Woodshop

859 days ago by Todd A. Clippinger | 20 comments »

As woodworkers we also need to cut metal once in a while. Also, having the ability to cut metal will allow us to create custom handles as I have on past projects. Hop on over if you’re interested. www.woodshopcowboy.com Be back soon with a new project I hope. Personal shop time has been pretty short lately.

Where can you buy 1000 (full size) sheets of (nice, waterproof) sandpaper for $1.00? Those were the first things to go; I managed to grab 2 boxes in the frenzy, one box of 150 grit, one of 280… Need a sheet? let me know! At 8:00 Saturday morning, Grizzly Industrial’s annual tent sale in Muncy PA opened their doors. I thought I would check this thing out, and actually got there 15 minutes early thinking I would take a look around before the crowds showed up at 10:00 or so…...
