I was dreaming about reaching 100 LumberJocks one day when I launched this website in 2005… Then, when it got going, 1,000 seemed likely but 20,000? No way! As you probably noticed, we have hit an impressive milestone just a few hours ago. Total number of comments on LumberJocks exceeded 1,000,000 – yes that’s ONE MILLION! This number has been reached in 1694 days since the February, 2006 when the site was launched. That’s around 4.6 years of steady growth. As they say, picture is worth a thousand words.. well in this case it’s a nice little chart:

Let it be known that today, June 12th, shall now be known as The International Day of the LumberJock.

As Debbie mentioned in the latest eMag, we have declared June 12th as The International Day of the LumberJock. This happened in 2007 when we reached 1,000 members, just 2 years ago. Fast forward to today and we are more than 10,000 members strong. Unbelievable…
I had no time to post frequently in the last few weeks. I returned from Yemen two weeks ago and am still catching up. And as this site grows leaps and bounds I find myself spending much more time on the maintenance and support...
