Demilune table tops #1: Making Demilune Tables
As you may have guessed, I make many of these tables. The practice is needed, and the combinations of woods make it very interesting. These were all made from the plexiglass templates shown. Coat of Arms commission #2: 10 Hours now.
These pictures are of a few stages in the next 6 hours of carving. Because the maple is so hard this is a slower process than normal. I am using at times this Foredom hand carver which is speeding things up and is it working out great. That’s all until next time!

Called various things around here, such as Tulip Poplar, Tulipwood, Tulip Maple, this is supposed to be some good bowl turning material.
