Bit and Brace

I found a brace and some bits at my local Restore yesterday, at a pretty good price to boot! I haven’t found much for identifying marks yet. Just a few “Made in the USA”, pretty sure one says Irwin, some say “cast iron”, and then a few have numbers, which I assume are sizes. The brace also has very little for identifying marks. Amazing Day at the Salvage Store 26FEB2016

So after talking to the owner of the salvage store for a little while he let me go down and pick the basement where all of the items from his estate buy outs go before they put them on the sales floor. I was floored with the amount of stuff that he had down there. Picture a room the size of a football field filled with boxes, trunks, shelves and crates FILLED with amazing stuff. Old Columbian Woodworking Vise (after evaporust)

◄ Update ►After soaking in the Evaporust solution for a few days I strained the solution back into the bottle and cleaned off the vise to see how well this stuff worked. I was very surprised at how well this stuff works I can only imagine what the electrosysis method would have done!! I scuffed the front a bit to be able to see the markings a little bit better.
