Here is the completed lamp it is 70” tall with the lamp shade 21×19 at the base it weighs 60 lbs The lamp shades are handmade. I do not make them a good friend of mine makes them for me. She does an excellent job.

This lamp is just the coolest. The then ribbon movement and sweeping motion is phenomenal. 71” tall to the top of the shade The base is 39” x 24” It weighs 70 lbs As you can see we added turquoise throughout.

Okay here is one of the most tedious parts of this lamp. Here are pictures of how the lamp limb looked before we started shaping it to the base. There are several types of scribing tools available, but we have not been able to find one that works for us. To start the process, we find the point where the limb is the higest from the base. Juniper Log Table with Stone Inlay Burled Cottonwood Top #3: Ready to sand the first stage of stone inlay

Here is how the table looks right now. Everything is bolted together, the branch pedestal, cottonwood base and cottonwood top have been bolted together. My husband has finished the first step in setting the stone inlay, we now need to sand down the stone so that is is smooth, then add a finer stone to fill in the gaps.
