After posting the quilted lazy susan project, http://lumberjocks.com/projects/21623, many of you said you would like to see the jig for this project. I set out immediately to upgrade the jig. There were cuts I wanted to incorporate into this jig, and my original was warping and needed repair anyway.
So here it is – 24” X 33”
I am pretty proud of this jig, not only because I made it, but because the cuts made from this jig are right on the money.

A couple of whiles ago when I posted my lumber rack, some of the LJ’s inquired about my panel jig. I figured that if I ever needed to replace it, then it would be right to blog it for you. I’m not going to take credit for this as I have seen it somewhere else in one of the many woodworking mags. Just can’t remember which one!

This video features a new crosscut sled built for my shop. Inspiration for this sled came form books in my library and countless Internet searches. This is a simple project for the shop that will increase safety, speed and accuracy of crosscuts on the table saw. Construction is simple with a MDF base, maple fences, Incra Miter Bars and T-Track. The plan file is available for download.
Hopefully this will inspire a sled for your shop!

As part of my workbench project I needed to mill up a somewhat large piece of lumber for the main chop on my face vise. It was larger than my 6” Jointer could handle. I needed to find an easy way to mill the 2 large faces. I have been wanting to make a Planer Sled for awhile now, so that’s what I did.

Degoose showed us how to make the jig that uses a bandsaw to make the spiral sections of his “Lazy Larry”.
Well I made the jig, but my old small bandsaw just wasn’t up to the task. I wasn’t about to quit, so I decided to try to make a jig that I could use with my router. It took me awhile to figure it out (using Sketchup), but once I did, it was rather easy to make the jig.

Story:I have been working really hard to tune up my bandsaw lately. I really wanted one of these:...for tensioning and detensioning the blade. But I am at the end of my budget and can’t spend another $150. I had seen pictures of a homemade version in a magazine and decided to make my own.

I’ve been fiddling with wooden hinges, and can’t get good dowel stock. Epecially dowel stock that matches the species of wood I’m working with. I gleaned this jig from another Rob Cosman video.

The other day, I posted another rolling pin. There have been several requests about how to make them. I thought I should update this tutorial with the new and improved trimming jig.
