I promised in my letter below to share with everyone I know my home depot shopping experience, so here you go!
To whom it may concern,
I wanted to share with you my shopping experience at the Fayetteville, GA Home Depot store.
A couple weeks ago I purchased a Ridgid oscillating spindle sander from this same store. After a couple weeks of using the tool (and enjoying it very much) it came time to buy more sandpaper sleeves for the sander. After doing a quick check of the Home Depo...

Not too long ago I purchased a pair of Ridgid lithium ion drills and diligently filled in the lifetime warranty and submitted same to the offices in the U.S.Today I recieved via my e-mail a 20% off offer from Ridgid as follows:From wood stuff 2010Excited by the offer I hastened to the website only to find this:From wood stuff 2010
They took my money from a Canadian Home Depot, they sent my warranty acknowledgement ,then promptly refused to give me the same treatment as all of their other cu...

I mostly purchase general construction screws from Menards, the Star-bit drive ones because they don’t cam out on me like the Phillips heads do. I get them there for $3.79 per one pound box, a great price for a good screw. However, they don’t carry any shorter than 1 3/4”, so I tried at Home Depot. I found some star drive screws there for $5.78 per one pound box and they had 1”, 1 1/4”, and 1 5/8” sizes, so I was quite pleased. The price was also pretty decent in my estimation. Over at Lowe’s...

Consumerist.com article about my recent experience with HomeDepot
Below is the letter I sent to HomeDepot’s CEO. I wasn’t expecting much out of them but instead they just gave me the tool I tried to order. I even offered to pay for it but they wouldn’t take my money.
Good afternoon Mr. Blake,
Earlier this week I ordered a Work Sharp 3000 from HomeDepot.com (order number W118122508) after finding out that that the tool was on sale. The website indicated that this too...

I had a Ryobi 14 Amp 10 in. Compound Mitre Saw. It was working fine but could only cut a max of 5 inches wide boards. I was in the market for a new on but all of the sliding miter saw was so costly. I even considered a Harbor Freight one, but even at that it was a $100 and more for one. I decided to check out craigslist.com and found a Kobalt one there for s feel. Well, after I got home I found out why it was so cheap – it was not square. I tried a couple of time to square it up but it...
