The Beginning Cooper

I work for a local historical village as their Master Cooper. This little video clip is from our last class held back in November showing different stages of making a bucket. Since posting my work on Lumberjocks, I have received a huge number of requests for help and advice on the building of powder horns and doing the scrimshaw artwork to decorate the horn. And, honestly, I can’t really help everyone, as I have to work in the shop myself, so I have accepted an invitation to teach a Powder Horn Building and Scrimshaw Decoration Class at the John Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC.
