In the first couple of centuries or so A.D, The Germani tribe was dominant in northern Denmark. Following military victories, it was their tradition to hurl war booty into the nearest bog! Just near Odense, is a massive bog called Vimose containing a considerable quantity of these war booty sacrifices. In the 1860s excavations took place there and the peaty conditions preserved a large number of wooden objects including two wooden planes, probably made by the Romans, now known as Vimose...

Arrival of the Historic Church Altar; Restoration and Making two Matching Side Altars

I have been waiting for several weeks for the arrival of the Church Altar that I am to copy and make two Side Altars to match. The Altar was delivered to my shop this past Saturday, and I am told that the down payment check is in the mail. Of course, the Altar looked smaller in the big church room. I am so excited, I just received a call this evening that my bid on the church Side Altars has been accepted.
