Making a toted coffin smoother

Pics will be on in a few min- will edit when I’ve got em all, hang in there ;) After making my small cherry smoother which worked great, I decided I wanted to up my game and build a more traditional styled plane. I also wanted it to be toted and have a harder wood for the sole of the plane. I chose to use cherry again because it’s what I had and it is very beautiful. Adjustable Angle Shooting Board

Create a shooting board that doesn’t cut just at one angle. Using some scrap wood and a couple of bolts you can create a shooting board that cuts multiple angles. Check out the video HERE! Sorry about the “scratchy effect”. Something happened while uploading and i can’t figure out how to fix it.

Pallet Coffee Table- Sketchup

Workbench build 2013 #7: Top Installed

This workbench has came a long way. Started off by ripping down 2×8’s for the legs and the stretchers, then hand to mortise out the legs, create half blind dovetails and I’m finally at the top of the bench. In this video I show how I chose to mount the top of the bench so I can keep everything portable. I also cleaned out the shop a bit and placed the bench in its resting spot. Card Scraper Version 2

I decided to make a card scraper out of a thinner material using a handsaw from a yard sale for $1. I can tell a big difference in the flex from the handsaw blade and the table saw blade. Shop Made Tool: Card Scraper

THROW YOUR SANDPAPER AWAY!!! Ok, so don’t throw your sandpaper away, but cut down on the amount of dust in your shop by making this quick and easy tool. A card scraper is also very useful when working around knots in wood. In this video I show you how to take an old, out of service saw blade and turn it into something useful again.
