Here’s where your knowledge of quality can really work in your favor. Most (used goods) stores dump all these together and put a single price on them. I look for Craftsman, XceLite and other name brand nutdrivers; I don’t trust the cheapies. The long shank black handled screwdriver uses 1” tips which can store under the white cap. I have a Snap-On one just like this (only shorter shank) which was given me new in 1966. This is a Cleco brand, but dead solid identical....

Just before we left on our trip, my parents came up from Florida to visit in the last week in October. With them, besides lots of laughs and smiles and good times with the grandkids, they brought me some of my Dad’s tools that had been collecting dust down in the sunshine state.

Headed down stairs after dinner this evening to start building my sawhorses.
I started by sorting out the lumber and selecting which faces I wanted on top of the I-beams. Oops the first – I need to finish the cuts on two of the legs – they should be 30” and they measure 36” – I forgot to cut trim the ends. Well, I need more practice handsawing anyways.
With the very bored help of my daughter, I built the I-beams.

I did an Interview with Chris Schwarz from Lost Art Press that I posted on my blog if anyone is interested. Next week I am going to do a review of the Anarchist Tool Chest.
