Today was a good shop day. I managed to get several hours in all at one go.
Things started of with filtering through some restoration/reconditioning project possibilities which will make there way to LJ in the near future, then I moved on to the tear down of the tensioning system currently not working on the frame saw, followed by some think time to design the new blade holder in steel.

Swans and bones – Frame saw for copingParts and Swans
Part four, the finale.
Last blog ended with a soak of oil, this time we move on to finish, tension, making the saw work, and this will be the end of the Swans and bones blog.
The frame is complete and it’s time for the tensioning.A piece of wood, same as the saw.
Mark the size.At least as long as the saw top to the center.
Also a little piece of wood for the half turn tension piece.(This I will explain later).

Last blog ended with a good tobacco, the hardware, the turn handles and the side handles ready, now it is time to finish the frame.

A standard brass screw app two inch long.The head is cut off.
The end rounded, this can be done by hand, but yes I am lazy…
