New Shop building! #8: ...AIR! Gasp! I need AIR!

Back in 10aSEE I put my air compressor on the inside of the shop. It was in a corner and pretty much out of the way. I wasn’t always pleased with the noise, but at least it was out of the weather. And when I got ahold of an old compressor tank (freebie) to double my air capacity, I hung the extra tank using chains up in the rafters right above the compressor. . .But this new building is smaller than the old one (by almost 400sf) and the ceilings are just barely 8’ high, so I c...

I came across this cool angle fixture as they are characterizing it but it has far more potential than just this; I see it as an angle tool for all sorts of applications. MDF Spline Cutting Sled #1: The Sketchup Chronicles

I was flipping through a catalog the other day and happened upon a spline cutting sled that this company was selling. I really liked the design of it, so I went on their website and learned all about it, watched videos etc. The only problem was, I didn’t want to pay the (what I thought was) high price for something that I could probably make myself…not to mention I’m broke, and cheap, and have enough scrap materiel’s lying around that I can make it almost for free. I, like many here have been amazed at the posts that LJ member Niki has provided in the realm of jigs, fixtures and set-up tools. I decided to pay him a little homage in the title of this collection of shop fixtures and jigs.
