Aug 21, 2008 Well, it’s almost done but now that I’ve seen the pictures I can see there are a lot of things to do yet and a lot of things that will just have to stay as “oops”. But, the inside is cute so hopefully that will make up for the not-so-cute oopses. Front View. (Yes, the door is crooked.. I thought I had it fixed but .. no.. Good News / Bad News Bad Newswell, I’ve tried the fasteners as hinges on the Fairy Door #9 and it’s not going to work. The door keeps falling off when opened. So.. I’ll either have to do some magic metal work to the hinge to keep them secure or… I’ll have to pry them off and find another alternative. But the GOOD NEWS is …. I have pictures. Side 1I used my router plane to create a dado in the pillar (joining the brown section to the yellow wall)Als...

Aug 19, 2008 Warning: NO PICTURES attached. (So if you “NEED” pictures you will just have to wait until I’m finished the project!) Fairy Door #9 is for my #1 grand-daughter who will be turning 6 next month! This door, of course will have to be special and that means that it will be more than just a door. Yes, the door is going to open. Well, that’s the plan anyway. I had a heck of a time trying to figure out the hinges with the door only being 1/4” thick...
