Restoring #2: Eagle statue

This eagle is part of St. John’s statue from 17th century altar from Moravian village Dolní Dunajovice (Czech republic). Eagle’s wings was lost and replaced with paper ones. When we removed the paper, some notes and music sheets was discovered in it. Schoolmate Petr did some research with professors from local university department of music history and they think it could be from year 1630. I made a right wing, left was made by next schoolmate. Majestic Eagle Woodworks....... absence update!

To all my LJ family out there………It has been quite some time since I have posted any projects and or had much involvement at all on LJ’s…….The last 6 months have been like a roller coaster that you wouldn’t believe…On a pleasant note, I started the buildout of the “finishing room” on my work shop around August of last year. Everything was going fine, I almost got it completed by November and then the weather hit. Snow and rain like anything so it really put the brakes on wrapping everything up...

After seeing some of my work, my boss approached me one day with a request for his father. His father’s birthday was quickly approaching and he wanted to do something special. I talked to him about his father’s interest and hobbies, and I learned that he owned a 1956 Panhead Harley Davidson, and his passion was working on and restoring this bike. Super Duper Sled #1: The Sketchup Plans

Well here is my latest sled design. This sled is a combination of many sleds that i have seen in the past. One sled that really influenced it, is the super sled by john nixon at eagle lake woodworking. I like the t track on the sled part (the sheet part) but i am going to use real t track. I also liked the t track on top of the fence, which i incorporated, but it stops there. This sled should be able to do just about everything.
