My Workshop Tour My workshop has two levels the ground floor where all my tools are (54m2/580ft2) and the half top floor (16m2/172ft2) which has two rooms; one is used as a paint booth and the other as a drying area as well as storage room. Dust Collection System #1: Dust Collection Duct Work

I’ve been working on putting together a dust collection system for my garage/workshop. I couldnt turn down the great deal on the Harbor Freight 2 HP dust collector and then of course since I saved so much I just had to make up for it by throwing on a Wynn cartridge filter. I was having a hard time deciding on 6”, 5” or 4” duct for the ducting system. The HF dust collector has a 5” Impeller plate opening so going with 6” didnt seem to make sense as the sy...

As my odyssey continues, I have reached the point with the shop where I can install the dust collection conduit and hook it up to my new home built 2 hp cyclone.The cyclone is styled after information obtained from the Bill Pentz website and although not an exact duplicate seems to work quite well.From new shop As you can see from the picture I split the system into two zones.
