Sketchup Designs for Future Projects #1: Artist's Drawing Horse

118 days ago by Jack Barnhill | 4 comments »

My son has asked me to build an artist’s drawing horse for him so I put together this Sketchup (SU) model to work out the details. For those who are not familiar with a drawing horse (as I was not), the artist sits on the horse facing the upright. The artist’s easel is placed in one of the groves near the upright and then leaned against the upright for support. Naturally, I will post pictures of the completed horse when it’s done. Basic versions of my Sketc...

First, I’d like to thank all of you for the participation in the this wonderful project and event. And my special thanks goes to Dusty and Karson for the idea as well as the execution. We have received 30 donations total and I’m going to invest this money to make this website more stable and faster by buying the webserver software license. The recipient of the Memorial Project is Karrie (picked in the random drawing from all donors). You can read more about the develo...

Projects #6: John White FWW Workbench - Dimensions

854 days ago by Jeff | 5 comments »

I had a request for the dimensions I used. These are a bit ugly because I just pulled the dimensions as I needed them and was indiscriminate of the plane I was on in the rendering and there are duplicates thoughout. My apologies but it was just for my own benefit when I added them. However, I wanted to get them posted as I’m already a day a late with the post. Bob Babcock, if you view this thread, can you suggest a place to house the actual sketchup file? I don’t know if I want...
