pardon the crappy cell phone photo, my work camera was in the house, and I just wanted the proof of ownership…Picked this up from a fellow LJ member, whose screen name I must admit has slipped my mind at the moment. Found it through craigslist, and was happy to learn he was on LJ as well. Good price on a nice little DT jig, which I’m looking forward to putting into use for an upcoming kitchen renovation! I will have to pick up the proper bit and so forth of course. Thanks Bud!

D4R Leigh Jig assembly and shop pictures as requested

Well you asked for pictures…of my shop and the assembly of my Leigh D4R jig today. I used the Dewalt planer and the Grizzly jointer for the first time today to create the 6×37 x 3/4 board to mount the D4R.The next photo is showing Leigh D4R jig clamped to rolling work bench/assembly table. The Dewalt planer is also bolted to the table. When in use this table DOES NOT vibrate at all. Very heavy table…and there is wood and tool storage below.The next picture shows the attac...

I have to say setting up a wood shop is just as much work and cash, if not more, then setting up a steel shop. Luckily a few of the steel tools are useful and will come in handy to the wood shop. I have also a few tools from a set of cedar drafting drawers I built oh, 5 years back. It was a one time thing and at the time living in an apartment, dust was every where. All I really had was a Dewalt biscuit joiner and a random orbital sander, that was it. A pic of the cedar drawers, mmmm they ...
