Cool/practical design for disabled

77 days ago by Dr_Unix | 0 comments »

Today I saw a really cool and useful (I think) design on Yankodesign.com. This is a kitchen multi-tool for people that have use of only one hand/arm. I was drawn to the very simple, clean, and elegant look. It’s something anyone could have in their kitchen or store away easily. Just check out this picture. If you go to the website they have more pictures that show how to use it to cut apples, bread, grate cheese, and open those tough foil covered yogurt containers. Check it out. ...

A few weeks ago Al Navas shared a very nice idea with me. The recipient of the Memorial Project is Karrie (picked in the random drawing from all donors). You can read more about the develo...

Well, let me say THANK YOU! I didn’t expect this kind of response to my donations request (or rather I should say my notice about the new donations feature). Here I’m staring at my PayPal account – yes, you have donated $500 together. Unbelievable… once again thanks for your support, it means a lot to me. Now we must think of how to spend this fund wisely ;) I’d like to buy some advertising space on other sites (newsletters) to promote our Save the Children ev...

Based on your suggestions, I’ve finally added Donations page! So now you can support LumberJocks financially by donating money through PayPal (note that PayPal also accepts all the major credit cards). Donated money will be used to cover the growing hosting fees, to buy banners and spread the word about our website and to make our unqiue Awards and Challenges even better… maybe I will also buy one-two beers if possible ;) You can choose between donating once or making a recurri...
